Scania Bolsters Services in East Africa

Scania is a global company with operations in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Scania’s sales and service organization is present in more than 100 countries.

East Africa will now be integrated into Scania’s vast global sales and service network, to help Scania offer its customers even better support. In Kenya, Scania has dealers in Nairobi, Mombasa and Nakuru. Presently, it has a limited share of the heavy truck market but a significant share of the bus market.

With its strengthened commitment, Scania has set ambitious targets for substantial growth.

Scania seeks to be an active part of Kenya’s transport sector development by, contributing to a safer and more sustainable traffic environment. Their environmental work is about economizing resources and energy as well as on meeting customer demands such as low fuel consumption and emissions.

The use of viable alternative fuels is crucial in the global race against climate change. Scania’s recipe for sustainable transport combines tradition with fresh thinking, renewable fuels, hybrid technology, a focus on driver training and greater efficiency in the transport system. The global company has some 20 years of experience in developing vehicles that use alternative fuels such as ethanol.
