Tomatoes Retailing Highest in Embu and Lowest in Eldoret

A 64kg bag of tomatoes was retailing highest in Embu where it went at 6,900 shillings. The same quantity was sold at 5,500 shillings in Mombasa, 4,200 shillings in Kitale, 3,500 shillings in Nairobi, 3,000 in Kisumu, 2,200 in Nakuru and 1,800 shillings in 1,800.

Carrots are also available in the market and the market prices are as follows in some towns across the country for a 138kg bag: 3,500 in Nairobi, 5,500 shillings in Mombasa, 3,000 shillings in Kisumu, 2,200 shillings in Nakuru, 1,800 shillings in Eldoret, 4,200 shillings in Kitale and 6,900 shillings in Embu.

Here is a summary on the same:Be it red or white Irish potatoes, all are available in the market though the prices are abit different.  Red Irish potatoes are higher in price as compared to red Irish potatoes. Sweet P are also in plenty as a 98kg bag is retailing at 3,000 shillings in Nairobi, 2,700 shillings in Mombasa, 2,500 shillings in Kisumu, 2,000 shillings in Eldoret, 2,200 shillings in Kitale and 2,300 shillings in Embu.
