The market price for the cereal keeps going up given that there have been reports some shortage across the country. The same quantity was going at 3,100 shillings in Kitale, 2,800 shillings in Nakuru and Eldoret respectively and 2,700 shillings in Nairobi.
On the other hand, a 90-kilogram bag of sorghum was being sold highest in Eldoret at 5,400 shillings and lowest in Nairobi, Mombasa and Nakuru where it was going at 3,600 shillings respectively.
