Sorghum Retails Highest in Eldoret and Lowest in Mombasa

A 90-kilogram bag of Sorghum is retailing highest in Eldoret at 7,200 shillings and lowest in Mombasa and Nakuru respectively at 3,600 shillings.

A 90-kilogram bag of Finger Millet, on the other hand, is being sold as follows in selected markets across the country: 9,600 shillings in Kisumu, 9,000 shillings in Mombasa, 8,100 shillings in Eldoret, 8,000 shillings in Nairobi and Nakuru respectively, 7,500 shillings in Malindi and 6,300 shillings in Kitale.

Market prices for Groundnuts have remained the same this week as a 110 kilogram is retailing at 15,400 shillings in Kitale, which was the same market price the previous week for the same quantity.

A 98-kilogram bag of Sweet Potatoes costs 3,500 shillings in Nakuru, 3,400 shillings in Mombasa, 3,000 shillings in Kisumu and Malindi respectively, 2,800 shillings in Eldoret, 2,600 shillings in Nairobi and 2,000 shillings in Kitale.

Njahi, on the other hand, has the following prices for a 90-kilogram bag: 13,500 shillings in Eldoret, 10,800 shillings in Nairobi and Kitale respectively, 8,100 shillings in Malindi, 7,200 shillings in Nakuru and 6,300 shillings in Mombasa.

Beans and peas are in plenty in the market and a 90-kilogram bag of both Rosecoco and Mwitemania Beans is at 9,000 shillings in Eldoret, 7,200 shillings in Nairobi and  5,500 shillings in Kitale.
