The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange was the East African Portland Cement with 9.28 percent at the price of 26.50 shillings per share.
The second top gainer was Umeme with 8,94 percent at the price of 13.40 shillings per share followed by Nairobi Business Ventures with 3.85 percent at the price of 2.70 shillings per share.
Olympia Capital and Kapchorua Tea Kenya gained 3.03 and 2.78 percent respectively at the price of 3.40 and 74.00 shillings per share respectively.
The top loser of the day was Stanlib Fahari Income-REIT with 4.48 percent at the price of 10.65 shillings per share followed by Kenya Airways with 4.02 percent at the price of 15.50 shillings per share.
TPS Eastern Africa and Standard Group lost 3.36 and 3.03 percent respectively while Sasini Tea and Coffee lost 2.88 percent.
The top mover’s table was dominated by Safaricom Limited with a volume of 6.1 million shares followed by Barclays Bank with a volume of 2.39 million shares.
Equity Group and Nairobi Securities Exchange posted 1.11 and 1.04 million shares while Kenya Electricity Generating Company posted 531,000 shares.
