DusitD2 Hotel to Re-launch in June after the Terror Attack

DusitD2 Hotel is set to re-launch its services in June after a terror attack in January that left 21 people dead including four employees at the hotel and two security guards attached to the hotel.

The hotel re-opened in January but looks at introducing new dining concepts and planning a series of community events.

DusitD2 was closed down on 15 January following the bloody terror attack at 14 Riverside Complex. Most of the offices at the complex re-opened their doors two weeks after the attack.

“The spirit of determination that runs through the entire 14 Riverside community is heartening to see, and the support from everyone has been, and continues to be, incredible,” read part of the statement from the hotel management.

DusitD2 opened its doors in Kenya in 2014 and has been voted among the best in different forums both within and without Kenya.

The Hunt for Terror Suspects

The hunt for those who took part in the planning and attack of 14 Riverside Drive is ongoing. Already more than 10 suspects have been arrested and arraigned in court and are still being held by police as investigations go on.

Officers from the DCI raided offices of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and arrested some officials over the double registration of a car that was used by the terrorists during the 14 Riverside attack.

It was revealed that the car used during the attack had a fake registration number plate that was issued by NTSA and the police are still holding the person said to have issued the registration.

More Security Measures
