Here Are KPLC Paybill Numbers For Postpaid and Prepaid Customers in 2019

There was a time when paying for bills meant long queues at banking halls every month, technology now has those days in history and behold are now brighter days where one can easily pay for literally every service from the palm of their hands’ thanks to technology availing us with smartphones.

Paying for your electricity bill is one of the many bills you can sort at the comfort of your palm, as long as you own a phone, whether it is the prepaid or postpaid bill that you need to pay for. We simplify the process of how you can easily pay for your electricity using your phone:

• On your phone, go to the Safaricom menu and choose M-Pesa
• On M-Pesa, Choose Lipa na M-Pesa and go to the Pay Bill option (KPLC’s Pay bill number for the token is 888880)
• On the Pay bill, enter in your KPLC prepaid meter number as the account number
• Enter the amount you want to pay for your electricity and press ‘ok’
• Enter your four-digit M-Pesa PIN and ensure you have entered the correct details then click ok

It is important to note that the amount one can spend to pay for the electricity bill can only be between 100 shillings to 35,000 shillings.

Once the process is complete, you will receive a confirmation message after which Kenya Power company shortly sends you the tokens number for you to input in your meter.

KPLC Paybill number for postpaid

For postpaid KPLC meter users, there is a pay bill number on M-pesa for paying one’s power bills which is 888 888. The steps are as simplified below:

• Go to your phone’s M-Pesa Menu and choose the “Pay Bill” option
• Key in the KPLC Pay bill number 888 888 under the business number
• In the Account number section, enter your Kenya Power account number (normally in 123456-01 format)
• Key in the amount of money you purpose to pay(should be between 100 shillings and 35,000 shillings
• Enter your four digits secure M-Pesa PIN
• Confirm all details as correct and press Ok

A confirmation message from M-Pesa will be sent to your mobile phone and then shortly a confirmation message from KPLC.
