How To Check Your KPLC Prepaid Meter Number and Electricity Balance

KPLC meter numbers are important when it comes to paying for your tokens. Sometimes you can forget the exact digits of your meter because they are very many (about 11).
The meters come in different brands and thus your brand may differ to that of others. The name of the brand is easy to identify because it is indicated on the meter box.
IF you have forgotten the meter number, you don’t need to worry, just get to the meter and follow the procedure below:
1.Prepaid meter number
Your brand will require a specific code in order to check or retrieve your number. The examples of the brands are CONLOG, HEXING, ACTARIS, and SHENZEN meter boxes.

- CONLOG meter box-Dial Dial #100 then enter or press #
- HEXING meter box-Dial Dial 804 then press enter or #
- ACTARIS Meter Box. Dial 100 and then press enter or #
- SHENZEN Meter Box. Press 65 then enter.
In some instances, you can press 000# or 100# and get your meter number.
How to check your electricity balance through E-Bill
You can enquire about your electricity balance through the E-bill service. E-Bill allows you to check your electricity account balance and bill due date any time, by SMS or e-mail.
2.E-bill SMS Service
The E-bill SMS service allows you to query your electricity account balance and bill due date using your mobile phone. Follow these easy steps:
- Open a new SMS message.
- Type the first part of your account number in the message field. For example, if your account number is 998877-01, just type 998877.
- Send this message to 95551.
- In a few seconds, you will receive an automatic reply with your account balance details. This service works for Kenyan networks. It is charged at 5 shillings above the normal SMS rates
E-bill e-mail Service
The E-bill e-mail service enables you to check your electricity account balance and bill due date via e-mail. Here are the simple steps to follow:
Open a new e-mail message.
Type the first part of your account number in the subject field. For example, if your account number is 998877-01, just type 998877.
Email the blank message to bill(at)kplc.co.ke Within a few minutes you will receive an automatic reply with your account balance details and payment due date.
