25 Best Companies to Work for in Kenya: Safaricom Tops The List

Online Job search platform in Kenya Brighter Monday recently ranked the top 100 best companies to work for in Kenya and the list has the obvious names.

Brighter Monday had conducted a survey where at least 3,448 respondents from different parts of the country were asked to give their views on the best companies to work for in Kenya.

The majority of the respondents were of ages 18-21 and 25-35, who voted for the companies that were mostly affiliated to talent developments and job security.

The Report found that most Kenyan employees are not happy with their current jobs and neither are they willing to leave their jobs.

Respondents were asked to give their views on both the intrinsic and extrinsic traits of a company of their choice.
On the intrinsic traits, respondents ranked the companies depending on their competitive Pay Package, job security Career Growth, Financially Stability and Welfare Benefits.

On the extrinsic traits, the respondents ranked their favorite companies based on; flexible hours, strong relatable company values and goals, open and effective management, health programs, transparent performance management, mentoring & coaching, experimentation environment, family support, diversity hiring, and training.

“A salary that is equal to or higher than the industry standard is a vital determining factor for employee motivation and overall morale,” the Brighter Monday report read.

Safaricom, East Africa Breweries Limited, United Nations, Kenya Commercial Bank, and Kenya Revenue Authority appeared as the top five best companies in Kenya.
