BY Juma · November 23, 2019 12:11 pm

24 people have been confirmed dead following a massive landslide in West Pokot that buried them alive in Nyarkulian and Parua villages.

According to the area chief, Mr. Joel Bulal, many more people are still missing and hopes of finding them alive are minimal even as rescue operations continue.

The chief says many others have been left with multiple injuries following the tragedy. The Red Cross has already dispatched a team on the ground.

The tragedy in West Pokot comes even as the rain continues to pound across the country, cutting off roads in some parts like in Turkana.
