Parents whose candidates sat the KCPE 2019 examination will be able to know the school their children will join by the 2nd of December 2019 according to the Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.
“Admission letters will be out by the 2nd of December to give parents enough time to prepare,” said the Cabinet Secretary.
The selection process for those who will join form one come January 2020 will kick off tomorrow, 19th November 2019 and letters will be sent to students electronically as it was the case in 2018.
The government has assured parents and candidates that no one will be left out of joining form one come January 2020 as the government strives to achieve the 100 percent transition from primary school to secondary school.

In the just-released KCPE 2019 results, the number of boys stood at 50.17 percent while that of girls stood at 49.82 percent.
In this year’s KCPE, girls performed better than boys in the majority of the subjects as well as the overall results with boys doing better in sciences.
On examination leakages, the Cabinet Secretary of Education Professor George Magoha said that no examination paper leaked.
“No examination paper leaked during the KCPE 2019 period,” said the CS.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed that out of the 9000 scholarships by the Ministry of Education should go to the inner slums of Kenyan major towns.
The Teacher’s Service Commission (TSC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nancy Macharia has noted that the body plans to investigate the conduct of 56 teachers who are suspected of aiding cheating of exams.
“As a sector, we will I wish to congratulate our young students and I urge parents, families, and guardians to celebrate our children, let us appreciate them,” said Mrs. Macharia.
