How to Check 2019 KCPE Results via SMS or Online Portal

The KCPE 2019 results are officially being released by the Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha 18 days since the candidates sat their last paper.

The Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang has urged parents to celebrate their children’s efforts and avoid pressuring them as they all did their best.

As has been the norm in KCPE results, the 2019 results can easily be accessed through an SMS or in the KNEC online portal.

The KCPE results will be through the SMS service that will cost 20 shillings and through an online KNEC portal where one will only need to enter the student’s index number.

It is important to be aware that the system is often overwhelmed by requests which can slow it.

The government, through the Ministry of Education, has assured parents and candidates that all pupils who sat their KCPE 2019 will be accommodated in secondary schools as the government aims at achieving a 100 percent transition.

On examination leakages, the Cabinet Secretary of Education Prof George Magoha has said that there was no examination paper leaked in the KCPE 2019.

“No examination paper leaked during the KCPE 2019 period,” Magoha has said.

The Teacher’s Service Commission (TSC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nancy Macharia has, however,  noted that the body plans to investigate the conduct of 56 teachers who are suspected of aiding cheating of exams.

The Education Permanent Secretary has however urged parents to be keener in celebrating their children’s achievement.

“As a sector, we will I wish to congratulate our young students and I urge parents, families, and guardians to celebrate our children, let us appreciate them,” Belio has said.

Thank you to our teachers for guiding our children as this year has seen our candidates sit the examples in a very relaxed manner,” said Education PS Belio Kipsang.
