The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) 2019 results have been released at Mtihani House in Nairobi by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
KCPE 2019 results are being released exactly 18 days since candidates sat their last paper at all 27,000 examination centers.
Over 7,000 examiners had been tasked with marking the Insha and Composition scripts for the 1,088,986 candidates across the country.
“The marks have already been compiled and everything is set for release,” Belio Kipsang’ has noted during the release of the KCPE 2019 results.
The KCPE 2019 results have been released three days earlier than was witnessed in the year 2018.
“As a sector, we will I wish to congratulate our young students and I urge parents, families, and guardians to celebrate our children, let us appreciate them.
Thank you to our teachers for guiding our children as this year has seen our candidates sit the examples in a very relaxed manner,” said Education PS Belio Kipsang.
The government through the Ministry of Education has assured parents and candidates that all pupils who sat their KCPE 2019 will be accommodated in secondary schools as the government aims at achieving a 100 percent transition.
On examination leakages, the Cabinet Secretary of Education Professor George Magoha said that no examination paper leaked.
“No examination paper leaked during the KCPE 2019 period,” said the CS.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed that out of the 9000 scholarships by the Ministry of Education should go to the inner slums of Kenyan major towns.
