Lucy Kamau, an enthusiastic business lady with a clothing shop, Klassy Klothing, shares her story on how Goby has transformed her business, from just an ordinary brick and mortar shop to a remarkable click and mortar business.
Lucy runs a clothing business in the heart of Nairobi, at Imenti House where she sells clothes for both men and women.
Klassy Klothing, like any other small business in Kenya right now started as an ordinary physical shop without any link to social media or other online platforms to help soar her sales and profits.
Lucy admits that in a bid to reach more customers across the country, she decided to use social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram but while these increased her customer base, they did not match her expectations in terms of driving up sales.
“I was looking to have a bigger reach online, and that’s how I came across Goby. There were people who were talking about the App and I was very interested in the whole concept,” says Lucy.
“Nowadays, people are sourcing almost everything online and so I found it important for Klassy Klothing to move with the technological advancements so as to remain relevant,” adds Lucy.
For Lucy and her business, Goby has made it easier on how she interacts with her customers. She says that when a customer asks for new clothes in stock, she just shares the link to her Goby shop and they are able to view all items on sale very easily.
“My favourite feature on the Goby app is that you can upload as many items on your online shop without any limits,” Lucy says.
