KCB Group Injects 5 Billion Shillings Into National Bank

The Kenya Commercial Bank Group (KCB) has invested 5 billion shillings into the National Bank of Kenya (NBK)
KCB Group acquired NBK in 2019 through a share swap that saw shareholders in NBK exchange 10 shares in NBK for 1 share in the new business.

“In addition to enabling NBK to comply with capital adequacy requirements, the injection bolsters NBK’s financial resources,” said KCB Group in a statement.
