There is no debate, it was the biggest betrayal in football history. Upton 2010 John Terry was seen as a mammal father and teammate but this was before the press discovered his awful secret. In January 2010 the English tabloid dropped a bombshell.

John Terry married Toni Poole and the father of two children had committed adultery with Vanesa Perroncel. Who is she? The girlfriend of Wayne Bridge his best friend.

A cruel betrayal for both his wife and his friend. How did this happen? John Terry and Wayne Bridge were Chelsea teammates from 2003 to 2009.

The two couple would often go out together but as time passed John Terry started to seduce Vanessa Perroncel, but the French woman had dined with Wayne Bridge since 2005 and they had a four-year-old son. And then things turned sour one day everything was revealed as the two were seen together. Unforgivable!

Wayne Bridge heard the news he was devastated. He quickly announced that he will not play for England national if Terry was also playing. But Bridge was supposed to play in the World cup in South Africa.

At the time the whole of England was talking about the affair, the English locker room was split. Lots of players threatened not to come if Terry was there but the defender was one of the most important in the team. Eventually, England manager Fabio Capello decided to withdraw Terry’s captaincy.

Unfortunately for Terry, the scandal got worse owing to rumors that Vanesa was pregnant.

‘If Wayne doesn’t want to play with John and the other players had enough of him, the problem isn’t just the captaincy. It whether he should even play on the team at all. The English players made an effort to share the locker room with Terry but he and Bridge are no longer on speaking terms. Bridge even refused to shake Terry’s hand when Chelsea and Manchester City played each other. The two players’ friendship has definitely ended but Terry’s relationship survived because Toni forgave him.
