On the M-PESA Menu Go to "Lipa Na M-PESA and Select Buy Goods Enter the Till Number of the outlet/or salesperson you wish to pay to Enter the amount you wish to pay, Enter your M-PESA PIN.
Lipa Na MPESA is a service that allows consumers to pay for goods and services using M-PESA. They buy goods and services functionality is available on your M-PESA Menu under “Lipa Na M-PESA”
Pay Bill is for remote payments and the customer does not have to be present whilst paying. The customer has an official relationship with the organization to whom they are making payment and has an “account number” that helps identify the user.
The customer inputs a business number (paybill number) for the entity they are paying.
Buy goods and services is mostly for the retail purchase of goods and services. Both parties immediately confirm these proximity payments via text message. No relationship between the buyer and the organization or account number is required.

Confirm that all details are correct and press OK You will receive a confirmation SMS from M-PESA immediately.
If there is a system delay and no SMS is received, you will receive an SMS from Safaricom notifying you of the delay. If both parties have not received notifications, then call Safaricom to confirm the status.
Once a transaction is initiated by the customer, only the receiving merchant can reverse it. Safaricom is not authorized to carry out LIPA NA M-PESA reversals unless they receive official communication from the merchant.
Lipa Na M-PESA payments are real-time and both the consumer and the merchant/retailer will receive an SMS notification confirming the transaction.
It is advisable to save till numbers that you use frequently on your SIM card prior to making any payment.
Should your payments go to the wrong till number, Call M-PESA customer care on 234 immediately and they will contact the merchant paid in error and request them to reverse the transaction? Please always double-check that you entered the correct till number.
