Do You Remember When Kariobangi Sharks Clobbered Everton?

Today we remember when the Kenyan team, Kariobangi Sharks played with Everton in 2019.  The Kenyan team won. It all started when Kariobangi Sharks won the SportPesa SuperCup 2019 when they beat Bandari FC 1-0 in the final. It was a thrilling match.

They were crowned Champions and this earned them an opportunity to play Everton at Kasarani Stadium. This was a dream come true to the players and also the football fans who got an opportunity to watch the team play Everton live at Kasarani Stadium.

Theo Walcott was also part of the players that visited the country and the Sharks players got a lifetime opportunity to play in the same game. Everton made history as the first-ever English Premier League (EPL) football team to set foot on Kenyan soil.

During the match, Brian Bwire was the hero as Kariobangi Sharks defeated English Premier League side Everton 4-3 on penalties after the two sides had battled out a 1-1 draw in a friendly match at Kasarani Stadium.

It took the visitors just three minutes to make their intentions clear when they won a free kick 35 yards from goal, but Darron Gibson shot narrowly wide. This was a game to remember and will always be an inspiration.
