Official Term 1,2 And 3 School Reopening Dates With Form 1 Entry Fee Structure

With current Grade Five students transitioning to the new class when schools reopen in April. The government will also have to deal with the headache of ensuring that the additional classrooms needed to anchor Junior Secondary Schools are ready as transitions begin early next year

Both public and private primary and secondary schools have been on holiday since 4th March of last month to allow the operation of the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and Secondary Education.

As of last week, 1st April 2022, all the national exams ended with KCPE examinations being marked and released as KCSE marking kicks off this week following the reporting of Examiners in various marking centers.

Through the Ministry of Education, the government of Kenya has provided a new school calendar that will be used as primary and secondary schools prepare to report for the 2022 school calendar this month.

Even with the increased worries in the year being short, it is a program that is meant to ensure a smooth transition from one year to another in 2023.

According to the newly revised full school calendar for 2022, all primary and secondary school learners are expected to return to school and start the first term on 25.04.2022, then break for half term for three days from 26.05.2022 to 29.05.2022.

Hollowed by first term holiday will be on 02.07.2022 till 10.07.2022. Term two will pick on 11 .07.2022 to 16.09.2022. Term three will start on 26.09.2022, and the third term will have no half term as it will be short; non-candidate classes will close on 26.11.2022 for a holiday to pave the way for 2022 KNEC examinations.

The Kenyan Education Ministry has released the 2022-2023 school fees guidelines for all secondary schools in Kenya. This new school fee structure is for all Boarding and Day schools in Kenya, ranging from all national schools extra county, county, and sub-county schools.

According to the MoE, the government of Kenya will continue to offer free day schooling for learners in Day schools as these learners will only be charged lunch fees for their meals. Learners in all Kenyan public schools receive a government subsidy commonly known as the government capitation of KES. 22,244.00 annually

To achieve the cost of boarding, parents are expected to pay the boarding fees applicable to different categories of schools and location.
