EPRA To Announce New Fuel Prices: Wailing Likely To Officially Kick Off Tomorrow

Analysts have predicted that following the rise in the Value Added Tax (VAT) from 8 percent to 16 percent, a liter of Super Petrol is likely to increase by at least 12 shillings.

It seems the Punisher of Kenyans will strike sooner than expected, this time coming from the Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority (EPRA) who is set to announce the new fuel prices to fit the newly enacted controversial  Finance Act.

Analysts have predicted that following the rise in the Value Added Tax (VAT) from 8 percent to 16 percent, a liter of Super Petrol is likely to increase by at least 12 shillings.

During the last review, EPRA announced that the price of super petrol had decreased by 0.66 shillings to retail at 182.04 shillings, while diesel had been reduced by 1.12 shillings to retail at 167.28 in Nairobi. The price of kerosene was increased by 0.35 shillings to retail at 161.48 shillings.
