Java House Partners with Hass Petroleum to Bring New Dining Spot to Narok Travellers and Residents

Java House, East Africa’s leading casual dining restaurant, has opened a new outlet at Hass Petroleum’s Narok service station, bringing its offering closer to Narok’s growing local community as well as the many travellers who pass through the town.

The outlet is set to become a convenient everyday spot for Narok residents, local businesses and the town’s large student population, including students at Maasai Mara University. With its relaxed setting and familiar menu, the branch offers a welcoming place to meet, study, work or grab a quick meal between appointments.

Beyond its local customers, the new branch will also serve the high volume of commuters along one of the region’s busiest routes. Narok is a key node on the corridor to the South Rift and Lake Victoria regions, and a stopover for visitors bound for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s leading tourist destinations.

Speaking during the official launch, Priscilla Gathungu, Java House Group CEO, said the partnership was part of the brand’s strategy of serving customers on the move, beyond traditional urban hubs.

“Narok is a growing town, a hub for Kenya’s tourism industry, and an important stop for travellers heading to the South Rift, Western Kenya, and the Lake Victoria region. We are honoured to work with partners like Hass Petroleum as we grow, bringing Java Love closer to where our customers live, work, and travel,” said Ms Gathungu.

Hass Petroleum CEO, Abdusalam Salim Mohamed, said the partnership brings fuel, convenience and dining together at one location, increasing the value proposition for travellers and Narok residents alike.

“For travellers on this busy route, and for people living and working in Narok, our customers can now refuel, shop, and enjoy quality dining in one stop. We see partnerships like this as an important way of responding to our customers’ needs at our retail sites,” said Mr Mohamed.

The new branch is expected to transform the town’s socio-economic outlook by providing job opportunities to the residents. The Narok launch comes soon after Java House opened an outlet at Windsor, along Nairobi’s Northern Bypass, another high-traffic avenue leading to neighbourhoods including Marurui, Thome, and Garden Estate. The casual dining restaurant also opened branches in Thika, Makongeni, and Rabai Road in Buruburu, Nairobi, as well as Jinja, Uganda, bringing the total network to 115 across 20 cities and towns in East Africa.

Beyond its restaurant operations, the company is also actively advancing its community impact through the Java House Foundation, which supports initiatives in education, agriculture, and environmental sustainability, complementing the company’s growth ambitions by contributing to the communities in which it operates.
