Express Opens The Week as Top Gainer at The NSE as Uchumi Lags

Express started off the week on a gaining trend by topping the NSE on Monday with 6.67 percent at the price of 4.00 shillings per share.

The second top gainer of the day was National Bank with 5.00 percent at the price of 10.50 shillings per share.

Home Africa, KenolKobil, and Car and General (K) gained 4.55, 3.45 and 3.36 percent respectively at the price of 1.15, 15.00 and 20.00 shillings per share.

The top losers circle was led by Uchumi Supermarket with 7.35 percent at the price of 3.13 shillings per share.

Total Kenya followed closely with 6.38 percent at the price of 22.00 shillings per share followed by Unga Group with 4.76 percent at the price of 30.00 shillings per share.

Sameer Africa and Umeme tied by losing 3.85 percent at the price of 2.50 and 12.50 shillings per share respectively.

On the top movers shelve, Kenya Commercial Bank took the lead by posting a volume of 1.51 million with a market capital 113.44 billion.

Safaricom Limited which ruled almost the whole of last week was displaced to position two with a volume of 951,300. Equity Group sold 943,100 while WPP SacanGroup sold 973,200. Co-operative Bank on the other sold 659,600.
