East African Cables was the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange while the National Bank was the top loser during the Wednesday session.
East African Cables gained 9.38 percent at the price of 3.50 shillings per share while the National Bank swept the top losers’ table with a loss of 9.57 percent at the price of 5.20 shillings per share.
Carcacid Investments, Mumias Sugar Company and Nairobi Business Ventures gained 9.09, 6.67 and 6.06 percent at the price of 12.00, 0.80 and 1.75 shillings per share respectively. Sanlam Kenya gained 5.49 percent at the price of 24.00 shillings per share.
Standard Group, Car and General (K) and I&M Holdings lost 7.38, 7.14 and 3.85 percent at the price of 28.25, 19.50 and 100.00 shillings respectively. Centum Investments Company lost 2.24 percent at the price of 32.75 shillings per share.
The top mover of the day was Safaricom PLC who sold 1.96 million shares followed by Equity Group who sold 1.95 million shares.
Kenya Re-Insurance, Carbacid Investments, and Kenya Commercial Bank sold 1.68, 1.59 and 1.46 million shares respectively.
