Inflation For January Falls to 4.7 Percent on Low Fuel Prices

The inflation for the month of January has dropped to 4.7 percent according to the statistics released by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS).
In December, inflation stood at 5.7 percent with the drop being attributed to the drop in transport costs as a result of low fuel prices.
The month-on-month inflation was at 0.35 percent with the transport index falling by 1.43 percent compared to December driven by low fuel prices.
