Thursday: Sasini and Umeme Dominate Top Gainer’s Table at the NSE

The top gainer of the day was Sasini Tea and Coffee with 9.42 percent at the price of 18.00 shillings per share followed by Umeme with 8.82 percent at the price of 7.40 shillings per share.

Home Afrika, Flame Tree Group and Kenya Power and Lighting Company gained 7.27, 5.81 and 4.88 percent at the price of 0.59, 2.55 and 4.30 shillings per share respectively.

Kenya Re-Insurance was the top loser of the day with 9.84 percent at the price of 11.00 shillings per share followed by Sameer Africa with a loss of 7.50 percent at the price of 1.85 shillings per share.

Kapchorua Tea Kenya and Stanbic Holdings lost 6.71 and 5.00 percent at the price of 69.50 and 95.00 shillings per share respectively while ScanGroup followed closely with a loss of 4.70 percent at the price of 11.15 shillings per share.

The top mover of the day was Kenya-Insurance who sold 8.01 million shares followed by Safaricom Plc and NIC Group who sold 7.73 and 1.49 million shares respectively.

Kenya Electricity Generating Company and Mumias Sugar Company sold 1.33 and 1.23 million shares respectively.
