Two People Killed Along The Eldoret – Webuye Highway

Two people were killed and a third is fighting for his life at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret after a “significant” multi-vehicle crash at the Maili Tisa interchange on the Eldoret – Webuye Highway.

Eldoret West OCPD Edward Masibo who confirmed the incident, the private car which had three occupants rammed a tractor which was ferrying poles.

The tractor had stalled on the road. According to the police report, it is said that the driver and his shotgun passenger were killed on the spot by the poles which tore through the windshield

A third passenger who was seated at the back sustained serious injuries and is receiving medical care. Police officers have launched a manhunt for the driver of the tractor who disappeared shortly after the accident.

The bodies of the deceased were moved to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary in Eldoret.
