KCB Beats Safaricom As Most Traded Counter On Friday

KEY POINTS

Foreign investors remained largely out of the market on the day. They accounted for 22.50 percent of the total market turnover.

KCB Group was the most traded counter on Friday – accounting for 44.54 percent of the total market activity, beating Safaricom which had dominated the week. The stock’s turnover came in at 86.80 million shillings.

At the same time, equities turnover rose by 108.12 percent to 194.88 million shillings up from 93.64 million shillings the previous trading day.

Foreign investors remained largely out of the market on the day. They accounted for 22.50 percent of the total market turnover.

Foreign investors turned bearish in the day to print net outflows of 76.07 million shillings.

When it came to fixed income. turnover declined by 7.43 percent to 2.41 billion shillings up from 2.61 billion shillings the previous trading day.

The FXD bond segment was the most traded segment of the day. It accounted for 87 percent of trades above 50 million shillings. IFB1/2022/006 was the most traded paper of the day.
