10 Maize Varieties That Can Survive In Kajiado County

Other crops that do well in the region are Barley (CERISE LAUREL, NGAO, BAHATI) and Finger Millet (KAK-WIMBI 1, KAK-WIMBI 2, KAK-WIMBI 3, Nakuru/FMI, EUFM-502).

Sorghum also does well (KARIA-SH2, KIBUYU, RUT53, BJ28, Ikinyaruka, E1291 (Dual Purpose), E6518 (Forage sorghum), Sila, Legio, Hybrid Mtama-1(KSBH-01, Kak sweet Sorgh1, IS8595).
