NSSF Kenya Corporate Strategic Plan Finally Launched

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF Kenya) has officially launched the Corporate Social Strategic Plan that will be in place until 2027. The Plan is set to be the guiding map for the operations of the Fund as it works towards getting more members.

The launch was attended by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi who pointed out the role that NSSF plays among Kenyans, insisting that Kenyans need to protect their future through social security from NSSF.

“NSSF plays a major role in our lives. This Strategic Plan has the interests of the people of Kenya at heart and we should all support it to ensure that every Kenyan is socially protected,” said CS Musalia Mudavadi.

According to NSSF, at least 84 percent of Kenyans lack social security. 1.2 million elderly Kenyans sleep without eating any food because they cannot afford it. At the same time, at least 800,000 elderly Kenyans live alone and lonely with no one to help them out.

NSSF says that through the Strategic Plan that puts the members’ interests first, Kenyans will be able to save, take advantage of the enhanced rates, and access their benefits when they retire within the shortest time possible.

“Our Strategic Plan will be anchored within the mission to empower NSSF members to achieve financial security through prudent investments and value-adding solutions and with a vision to be the Trusted Social Security Provider delivering exceptional value to our members,” said David Koross, the Managing Trustee at NSSF Kenya.

Central to this plan is a compelling vision—one defined by trust, reliability, and unparalleled value. Beyond mere service provision, NSSF says that it aims to become the bedrock of security in the lives of its members.

“Our vision is resolute: we aim to epitomize trust and reliability in the realm of social security. Envisioning a future where every member entrusts us with their financial security, knowing that we will exceed expectations to safeguard their interests and deliver unmatched value,” David added.
