Rose coco beans are an expensive type of bean in the country due to the high demand. Therefore, the price of a 90kg bag of rose coco beans ranges between 9,000 and 10,900 shillings depending on the location.
The wholesale price of beans is 160 shillings per kilo, depending on the type of beans. Prices vary depending on where you sell or buy them. When demand is low, one kilo of beans costs between 100 shillings and 120 shillings, and when demand is high, one kilo of beans costs around 200 shillings.
Yellow beans are among the beans that have the highest price. The price of yellow beans per kilo is 180 shillings in low demand and 220 shillings in high demand, but during the dry season, the price can be more than the normal price.

A 90 kilograms bag of yellow beans retailing at 13,000 shillings in Kakamega at an average price of 250 to 300 shillings per 1 kilogram. In Eldoret town, the price of 1 Kg yellow beans retails at 200 shillings while 90 Kg is retailing at 12,150 per 90 kilograms.

Black beans, locally known as Njahi beans are the most expensive beans since they are a delicacy on special occasions, a 90 kg bag is between 13,100 shillings and 14,000 shillings across the country
Nairobi has the highest price for black beans, where a 90 kg bag retails at 13,050 shillings, much higher than the average price.
In Mombasa, a 90 kg bag of njahi is retailing at 12,800 shillings while in Eldoret and Kitale, the same bag is retailing at 12,00 shillings and 12,060 shillings respectively.
