There are a few ways to check your KPLC bill. One of them being through the E-bill querying service from the company. The E-bill allows you to check your electricity account balance and bill due date any time, by SMS or e-mail.
For one to be able to access this efficient service, all you need is a mobile phone or an internet connection to enable you to get the information through an SMS or email.
How e-bill SMS service works:
The E-bill SMS service allows you to query your electricity account balance and bill due date using your mobile phone. You will be required to type only the first part of your account number in the phone message field. Then send this message to 95551.
In a few seconds, you will receive an automatic reply with your account balance details. Using the service will cost you Ksh5 above the normal SMS rates.
How E-bill email service works:
The E-bill e-mail service enables you to check your electricity account balance and bill due date via e-mail. Like the SMS, you will be required to only type the first part of your account number in the subject field, for example, if your account number is 112244-01, just type 112244.
Then email the blank message to the bill (at) kplc.co.ke and within a few minutes, you will receive an automatic reply with your account balance.
Besides checking the balance through one’s SMS and email, a Kenya Power customer can also easily check their balance through their website.
How to Check Kenya power bill statement via email
It is simple to check your bill statement using this option and the best part of it is that it does not cost you a shilling. If you have a steady internet connection, you are as good as done.
For those wondering how to get a Kenya Power bill statement using this process, the following prompts should guide you
- First, open your browse on whatever device you are using, it could be your smartphone, your desktop or even your laptop
- Open your email account and create a new mail in it.
- On the subject field enter the first part of your Kenya power account, which is 557799 for 557799-01.
- Add bill@kplc.co.ke to the email section and send a blackmail. Wait for a few minutes and check your inbox for KPLC’s reply
How to check your balance through the Kenya Power website
One must access the website online through their address kplc.co.ke. You are then required to click the tab labeled: My Bill which will redirect you to another tab where you may be required to fill in your personal details for a KPLC online account.
However, if you do not intend to create an account, all you will be needed to do is click on the first tab on your right titled: Bill/Meter Query.
This will then redirect you to another tab where you will need to fill in your account number, click search, and within seconds you will get your bill balance.
