Resolution Insurance Offers Kshs 200 Million Cover Boost for Safari Sevens

East Africa’s leading general insurer, Resolution Insurance is the official insurer of this year’s Safari Sevens that kicks off at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani on Friday.

The insurer has partnered with Kenya Rugby Union to provide a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, injury, damage or cancellation of the Safari Sevens event valued at over Kshs 200 million.
The insurer will provide cover against such losses related to business interruption, Cash in Transit, Cash in Premises, money with authorized employees, Damage to safe, Estimated annual carry, Fidelity Guarantee, Public Liability, WIBA as well as the Event Cancellation.

“Resolution Insurance is committed to undertake this sponsorship as a part of the company’s overall strategy to support the development of sports disciplines and nurture young talent in the countries where we operate,” said Resolution Insurance Kenya Managing Director Alice Mwai.

She said the insurer has invested millions of shillings in the sponsorship of sporting initiatives citing its engagement with the Resolution Insurance Impala Saracens as a perfect example.

Its innovative strategies, coupled with efficient claims settlement, have seen the company’s customer base grow above industry growth rates.

In Kenya, Resolution Insurance currently has a network of 10 branches which includes; Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Meru, Nyeri, Kisii, Nakuru, Kitengela and Thika. The insurer has implemented strategies to make it easy for customers to pay premiums.

The insurer offers products that resonate with the market namely medical plans, liability plans, travel plans, asset covers and motor covers. By end of this year the company targets to hit the 100,000 mark in the growth of customer base.

The Safari Sevens will feature defending champions Samurai and other globally recognized rugby sevens players and teams such as Ignacio Martin (Spain), Michael Fedo (Scotland) as well as Kenya’s Andrew Amonde who are all expected to be in action for their teams during the rugby series.
