Safaricom, KCB, Equity Preferred by Foreign Investors in Thursday’s Session

Equities recorded a mixed performance with two of the three major indices retreating in the session.

Safaricom Plc was the top mover in the session, accounting for 35.3 percent of total market turnover.

Notably, Equity retreated in price in the session, down 0.50 percent in today’s trading. The top five counters exuded both foreign and local interest while accounting for the day’s 82.5 percent of total turnover.

The foreign desk increased their activity accounting for 48.62 percent of the total market activity.

Similar to the previous session, foreign investors mostly traded in Safaricom Plc, KCB Group Ltd and Equity Group Holdings Plc (NSE: EQTY).

They were net sellers on Safaricom while reversing their net selling activity in KCB and Equity to net buying activity in today’s trading.

On the overall, the desk recorded net foreign outflows for the sixth consecutive session.
