Jubilee’s Definition Of “Youth” Is Anyone Above 65 Years Of Age

The Jubilee Government had some of the best manifestos that the country really wanted, especially the youth.

The youth had their hopes high that the Jubilee government would create as many job opportunities as possible.

Indeed, the Jubilee government promised so much to the Kenyan youth that it was almost impossible to cast votes to other candidates.

It is quite unfair to say that the reigning Government has done nothing but it would also be far from fair to shower them with fake praises yet they have delivered nothing as per their mouth-watering manifesto.

Well it started off so well as the jubilee Government gave jobs to several Kenyan youths but it is like some had time traveled from the future, the ages can attest to that.

To try and understand Jubilee’s manifesto, we would end up going nuts as the Government has the best PR stunts that no other ruling party has ever pulled.

But let us define who a youth is, then try and compare our definition to that of the Jubilee Government.

Who is a youth?

The United Nations defines youth as someone of ages between 13- 24 but this is according to the years one is expected to have completed their basic education.

We can extend the age limit for someone to be referred to as a youth to 30-35. But in Africa, if you have not found love at this age you are doomed brethren!

The definition of youth in reference to the way posts have been given by the Jubilee Government, is just a rib-cracker.

According to the Jubilee Government, a youth is someone at the ages of 65 years and above. Don’t ask me where I got this from but that is the plain truth.

Age 65 is not an easy age to reach, it is an achievement in the current world. It is an age that comes with experience and enough knowledge.

In the current world, if you hit age 50, it is like you are living on a bonus. I still wonder why somebody would still want to hold a public office yet some people at younger ages can occupy such positions very well.

What is someone at the age of 65 even doing in a public office if not sleeping and thinking of how fast old age has caught up with them?

At age 65, someone is supposed to be enjoying his or her retirement benefits while admiring how fast his or her grandchildren (who would have gone to visit their old folks at the countryside) are growing and learning.

At age 65, one will have started to lose their tooth, if not thinking of acquiring a walking stick to support their aching backs.

At age 65, one should just rest and wait for life to take its course.

But the Jubilee Government thinks that at this age of 65, it is when someone is strong enough and needs to start working.
