Safaricom’s Revamped Postpay Lets You Call All Networks with no Limits

Safaricom has today, 3rd March 2020, announced that it has revamped its postpay option which allows its customers to enjoy its call services then pay later.

The postpay service has remained unchanged for a long while since its launch, as compared to its prepay option counterpart, which has evolved over time with the needs of its subscribers.

Before the revamp, the postpay service with the 1,000 shillings option only allowed calls to other Safaricom users, with a limit of 100 minutes to other networks and did not allow international calls.

With the revamped postpay, customers can now make calls to all networks with no limits whatsoever.

Additionally, customers on the new plan will be able to use their voice allocation to make international calls to India, the United States, China, and Canada.

The new postpay has also made it easier for its customers, both existing and new ones, to join the service by just dialing *544# as opposed to the old service where you needed to visit a Safaricom shop and fill in the PostPay application.

As if that isn’t enough, Safaricom has scrapped off the need for its customers to pay a deposit to start using the postpay option.

The revamped plans will be offered at five price points ranging from a 1,000 shillings plan with 5GB data, 400 minutes and unlimited SMS, to a 10,000 shilling plan that offers unlimited data, voice and SMS.

Here are the other offers available on the new postpay option by Safaricom:

  • 2,000 shillings, for 15GB worth of data, 1,000 minutes for calls and unlimited SMS.
  • 3,000 shillings, for 25GB worth of data, 1,500 minutes for calls and unlimited SMS
  • 5,000 shillings, for unlimited data, 2,500 minutes for calls and unlimited SMS.
