The Global Entrepreneurship Summit

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit is an annual event that is a central pivotal point; a well set and well expanded set of programs aimed at building a broad coalition of the world’s governments, business people, vibrant civil society, ambitious investors and academics to fully educate & equip and in the process, support both local and international entrepreneurs around the world.
Launched way back in the year 2009 by the president of the United States of America Barrack Obama, the Global Entrepreneurship Summit empowers entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and resources that are necessary to compete and successfully thrive in the 21st Century and, in the process, elevate communities in developing nations to better their standards of living through economic entrepreneurial empowerment.
The Global Entrepreneurship Summit brings together entrepreneurs from across the world, together with heads of states, high level government officials, global entrepreneurs, Small Mediums Enterprises (SMEs), corporate leaders as well as young and energetic entrepreneurs who meet and showcase their skills on a common platform.
There is also an innovation village where entrepreneurs, innovators and investors from across Africa and around the world are able to promote their projects and share their new ideas on myriad topics including ICT, water management as well as alternative energy.
The Global Entrepreneurship Summit has an enormous impact on the continent of Africa as it has set in motion an irreversible process of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that has already taken he shape around the world, connecting people across the globe and across borders for them to unleash their ideas and, in the process, transform innovation into reality- in turn growing the economies and expanding human welfare.
The Global Entrepreneurship Summit will also expose the virgin investment potential of Africa for it is the premier inter-disciplinary gathering of startup champions from across the world where the worlds’ top notch entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, thought leaders as well as policymakers work together to bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human livelihood across the globe.
The first ever Global Entrepreneurship Summit to be held in Africa was in Marrakesh, Morocco and since then, the once known as the black continent has become increasingly important and crucial in holding of subsequent Global Entrepreneurship Summits.
This is also due to the fact that Africa has immense development opportunities especially among the young and vibrant entrepreneurs who are ever willing to fulfill their utmost dreams and innovations and make easier the networking process as well as the widening of the cooperative opportunities.
The Global Entrepreneurship Summit’s main objective has always been to deepen the ties between business leaders, foundations, and entrepreneurs in the United States of America and other African countries and communities around the world without forgetting that entrepreneurship fundamental goal is to improve the culture of entrepreneurship for cross cultural approximation and sustainable development to support global cooperation among entrepreneurs and to share the necessary success stories.
Africa, therefore, is exposed to the sustainable growth promotion, expanding trade and improved investment climate in Africa and the world as a whole.
