Meet Periscope, an app that lets you start a broadcast from your phone

Hello World, meet Periscope, a new app that lets you share and experience live video from your mobile phone. The creators of Periscope think it’s a perfect complement to Twitter, which is why they acquired Periscope in January.

It’s a super simple live video app. You can start a broadcast from your phone, push a notification to your followers in the app, and you’re instantly live. Viewers can send comments and feedback and you can take them with you to share personal moments, behind the scenes moments, or anything that catches your imagination.

Today Periscope is available on iOS and you can download it in the App Store here.
