The NSE 20 and NASI index shed 3.70 points and 0.15 points respectively to close at 4,723.76 and 159.29. Williamson Tea was the highest market gainer edging up 3.91 percent to close the day at KES 399.00. E.A. Portland emerged the top loser, declining by 7.69 percent to close the day at KES 60.00.

The volume of shares traded declined 5.41 percent to close at 23.51mn. Total turnover dropped 10.54 percent to close at KES 737.33mn. Centum Investment was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 278.57mn representing 37.78 percent of total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 39.32 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 51.62 percent of total turnover.

National Microfinance Bank was the top loser of the day declining by 3.64 percent to close at TZS 3,180.00. Total volumes were recorded at 7.01mn shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 4.07bn.
