Crown Berger Emerges Top Loser

The NSE 20 and NASI Index lost 14.00 points and 1.86 points respectively to close 4,676.16 and 156.59. Express Kenya inched up 7.92 to KES 5.45 to emerge as the day’s top gainer. Crown Berger emerged the top loser, declining by 5.88 percent to close the day at KES 56.00.

The volume of shares traded dropped 67.33 percent to close at 27.13mn. Total turnover went down 73.63 percent to close at KES 875.64mn. KCB Bank was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 233.47mn representing 26.66 percent of the total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 64.18 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 73.15 percent of total turnover.

EAC Markets: Dar es Salaam Community Bank Emerges Top Loser of the Day

Uganda: The USE ALSI edged up 0.19 percent to close at 1,898.85 while USE LSI declined 0.31 percent to close at 331.32. A total of 12,272 shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 9.22mn.

Rwanda: The RSE ALSI and USE RSI remained constant to close at 215.43 and 144.69 respectively. Total number of shares traded today was 1,500 shares. Total turnover come to a close of RWF
482,000.

Tanzania: The DSEI declined 0.28 percent to close at 2,606.06 DSE TSI rose 0.02 percent to close at 4,561.48. Tanzania Tea Packers went up 0.76 percent to close at TZS 3,430.00. Dar es Salaam Community Bank was the top loser of the day declining by 3.03 percent to close at TZS 640.00. Total volumes were recorded at 260,944 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 958.67mn.
