Transcentury Edges Up 8.63 Percent To Emerge Highest Market Gainer

The NSE 20 and NASI index gained 1.17 points and 0.18 points to close at 4,815.28 and 161.61 respectively. Transcentury was the highest market gainer edging up 8.63 percent to close the day at KES 15.10. B.O.C Kenya emerged the top loser, declining by 6.47 percent to close the day at KES 130.00.

The volume of shares traded dropped 41.19 percent to close at 20.68mn. Total turnover declined 55.01 percent to close at KES 838.85mn. Centum was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 148.66mn representing 43.20 percent of total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 69.50 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 45.1 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI edged up 0.29 percent to close at 1,990.79 while USE LSI dipped 0.02 percent to close at 323.96. A total of 746,256 shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close
of UGX 70.85mn.

Rwanda: The RSE ALSI went up by 0.50 percent to close at 215.05. USE RSI rose by 0.08 percent to close at 1144.64. Total number of shares traded today was 332,200 shares. Total turnover come to
a close of RWF 94.35mn.

Tanzania: The DSEI went up 0.44 percent to close at 2,652.81 while DSE TSI declined 0.32 percent to close at 4,671.54. Africa Barrick Gold went up 0.98 percent to close at TZS 9,310.00 .CRDB
Bank was the top loser of the day declining by 2.44 percent to close at TZS 400.00. Total volumes were recorded at 379,507 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 207.76mn.
