Atlas Development Declines 8.95 Percent To Emerge Top Loser

The NSE 20 rose and NASI index dropped 27.65 and 0.41 percent respectively to close at 4,482.19 and 151.63. Marshalls gained 9.72 percent to KES 11.85 to emerge as the day’s top gainer. Atlas Development emerged the top loser, declining by 8.95 percent to close the day at KES 8.64.

The volume of shares traded declined by 19.41 percent to close at 15.89mn. Total turnover went up by 1.60 percent to close at KES 520.08mn. BAT Kenya was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 203.54mn representing 39.14 percent of the total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 69.21 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 31.17 percent of total turnover

Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI declined 0.66 percent and 0.02 percent respectively to close at 1,935.57 and 349.45. A total of 2.40mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close
of UGX 681.10mn.

Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI gained by 0.05 percent and 0.01 percent respectively to close at 195.45 and 142.36. Total number of shares traded today was 1.47mn shares. Total turnover come
to a close of RWF 427.98mn.

Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI rose by 0.03 percent and 0.28 percent respectively to close at 2,577.42 and 4,594.82. Swissport Tanzania rose by 3.42 percent to close at TZS 7,260.00 to become top gainer. Dar es Salaam Community Bank dropped by 1.84 percent to close at TZS 7,020.00 emerging as top loser. Total volumes were recorded at 253,457 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 152.62mn.
