Africa’s leading Salesforce reseller and consulting partner, Agilitude has announced the opening of its Kenyan operations, being headed by local Tech guru, Tejpal Bedi.

Agilitude East Africa will provide, through Salesforce – run entirely on the Cloud – a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution that brings together all your customer information in a single, integrated platform.   With the pioneering use of cloud computing, Salesforce has revolutionized the way enterprise software is delivered and used, changing the industry forever.

Attending the event was ICT Chief Executive Office, Victor Kyalo who welcomed Agilitude to the region, and spoke of the importance of the Cloud for service delivery and best practice.  “Citizens are customers of the government and demand services.  One area that has been successful in Kenya is the application of driving licenses online”, he said.

Speaking at the launch in Nairobi, Quinton Pienaar, CEO, Agilitude said that the expansion into East Africa is part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy: “Kenya is a vibrant economy and under-represented in terms of cloud and customer experience service providers.  It is also strategic in that it can more easily service the region.”

He said that similar to South Africa, Kenya needs basic sales force automation, customer service, contact centre and marketing automation.  “More importantly, there is a desire to move from customer management to customer engagement, allowing companies to differentiate via experience rather than product and price.”

Agilitude South Africa, which opened its Southern African operation in May 2013, has experienced significant growth on the back of its Salesforce partnership, but also the uptake and interest in customer experience management.

In reply, Tejpal Bedi, Managing Director, Agilitude East Africa says that Kenya has many innovative businesses and has a strong ICT sector: “There is a drive for a richer customer engagement and finding efficiencies across the business. Local companies are growing at a tremendous pace however their IT systems have not kept up with the growth.”

Salesforce products are all online – no software, no hardware. There are no expensive setup costs, nor maintenance allowing employees to work from any device with an internet connection. It is ideal for small businesses and large enterprises alike and this revolutionary approach has helped to make Sales Cloud the world’s number one CRM system.

With the East Africa office, Agilitude plans to establish itself as the leading provider of Customer Experience Management services and tools: “We will be focused on the salesforce.com and its associated ecosystem and we will concentrate on the financial services, telecommunications, high-tech and retail industry sectors”, Mr Bedi said.
