How KICC and KQ Will Market Kenya as MICE Destination

BY · October 7, 2015 10:10 am

What KICC will do

  • Give an “official airline” status KQ in biddings for international events; proactive provision of information to delegates about flight offers; and exclusive use of the KQ logo in international exhibitions as a key partner airline.
  • In marketing: KQ will have advertising opportunities in KICC website, flag posts, wall branding, in-house television screens and the Mikutano magazine. This marketing collaboration will provide branding and re-branding opportunities for KQ at KICC.
  • Key partners during KICC events such as Kenya MICE Expo, Association Development Forum (ADF), among others, will provide support to the collaborative efforts of the two partners.  There will be events and shows organized in different parts of the country and the Eastern Africa region.

What Kenya Airways will do

  • Support KICC in the bidding for regional and international conferences by providing letter of intent/support to be included in bid documents; offering discounted rates for the bidding teams when they travel to Kenya to present bids, and being a participant in bid presentation.
  • Provide advertising opportunities on its Msafiri magazine by offering its full back page for a KICC advertisement; taking 1 page for MICE advertisements and content; and offering the cheapest airfares for KICC staff on both domestic and international travel.
  • Offer discounted rates on airfares for conference delegates: to initiate an all-inclusive KQ holidays package for delegates to include accommodation, air transfers and safari at a special rate; provide leverage on MICE in its marketing communication; and provide space in the airline’s international offices to market Kenya as a MICE destination.
