Introducing: IFMIS Academy

IFMIS Academy works through a structured competency based learning solution that links IFMIS department priorities and objectives to workforce roles, competencies and skills. The Academy envisions becoming a government leader in the provisions of the professional development programmes tailored for IFMIS department staff as well as IFMIS end users.

The Academy is mandated to develop the training curriculum and it also responsible for the design, development as well as maintenance of the course content. The Academy is also mandated to create an online training materials, design an approach to learning, provide administration and support as well as conduct and manage trainings.

This is a center of excellence at the provision of the lifelong development programmes and the required training that is tailored for IFMIS users in the MDAs and the Counties. The Academy has managed to develop an in house capacity that provides IFMIS with training and optimization of the use of the IFMIS system ant the MDAs and at the Counties.

The IFMIS Academy continuously improves its practices to maintain its excellence t ensure that the service delivery at IFMIS are of quality through bringing up additional trainers, additional consultants, additional functional and technical teams as well as support and logistics staff to meet the business needs.

People who have been tasked to handle the operations of the IFMIS system have all that it takes to handle the system because of the training that is delivered using face to face instructor led training as well as the use of self-paced-learning based on the Learning Management System that has already been developed. The Academy also uses computer based training that is already on the v roll out and the Academy looks forward to using these three modes of training to achieve a true blended learning environment.

IFMIS is the only system that will liberate Kenya from the loss of public funds through corruption.
