Amu Power is Growing the Community

Amu Power Company cares about the people it works with. The company knows exactly what it means by giving back to the community. A great company is not a company that makes huge profits but it that company that gives back to the society, it is that company that looks after the welfare of the community. Amu Power Company has already supplied fishing supplies as well as fishing equipment to more than fifty local fishermen within Lamu County. This has improved the fishing activities of these fishermen. Given the fact that these fishermen depend of fishing for their livelihood, the improved equipment has greatly enhanced their lives.

Amu Power Company has also been working with the County Government of Lamu to sponsor and install street solar lights that light up the sea front of Lamu. Apart from bring the area back to life, these lights has also improved the security in the region.

Food production has improved within Lamu County. This is because Amu Power Company has sponsored more than three hundred families with different food items within the County. Think of how many people are in three hundred families.

The company has also been sponsoring weekly water delivery to water tanks donated and constructed by Amu Power Company to local residents. Not only that, Amu Power Company has also purchased a cold room freezer that will be located in Lamu, the freezers are vital for the thousands of fishermen who have no facilities to store their fish.

Amu Power Company has also been undertaking an afforestation programme with a goal of planting more than one million trees that will be planted at different areas around Lamu County. The company also donated solar powered study lights to more than five hundred students from thirty different schools in Lamu.
