Atlas Development Top Loser of the Day

NSE 20 dropped 5.31 points to close at 3,887.53 while NASI index went up 0.70 points to close at 141.34. Atlas Development went up 8.77 percent to close at KES 3.10. Standard Group declined 7.76 percent to close the day at KES 26.75, becoming today’s top loser.

The volume of shares traded today was 12.85mn, valued at KES 789.20mn up from yesterday’s turnover. CFC Stanbic was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 323.70mn representing 41.02 percent of the total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 64.18 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 74.06 percent of total turnover

Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI rose 1.26 percent and 0.38 percent respectively to close at 1,726.24 and 371.74. A total of 2.4mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 1.54bn.

Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI declined 0.06 percent and 0.01 percent respectively to close at 164.27 and 137.77. Total turnover came in at RWF 143,200 with 600 shares traded.

Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI shaved off 0.82 percent and 0.21 percent respectively to close at 2,336.93 and 4,637.38. Tanzania Portland Cement went up 4.67 percent to stand at TZS 3,140.00 emerging as today’s top gainer. African Barrick Gold declined 5.19 percent to end the day at TZS 5,300 to be the top loser. Total volumes were recorded at 191,141 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 173.84mn
