Kenya Airways Resumes Flights to Bangui

BY · November 16, 2015 09:11 am

The resumption of flights from Nairobi to Bangui by Kenya Airways this month foretells a bright future for the Pride of Africa.

Kenya Airways had suspended direct flights to Bangui in the month of March 2013 as a result of heightened insecurity in the country. This reduced the revenue that used to come from these flights. The state of security in the country has since improved.

The flights will be made twice per week in a Boeing 737-800 and will be direct flights from Nairobi to Bangui and from Bangui onward to Douala in Cameroon.

“We are pleased to announce our return to the Central African Republic, linking the capital of Bangui to the world through our extensive network in Nairobi. Passengers will also benefit from our new flights between Bangui and Douala. We will be watching the market closely with a view to add frequencies in the near future,” said the CEO Mbuvi Ngunze.

Every business has got challenges. Challenges are part of the journey to a successful business. Wading through these challenges is what business is all about. The Pride of Africa is fighting to ensure that it remains the same prestigious airline that has been scaling the skies for years.

With the increase in its fleet, the construction of beautiful lounges that give passengers an experience that will linger forever, kind and helpful hostesses, and the airline’s dedication to embracing a changing technological landscape, the airline is indeed bound to reach greater heights.

As one of the speakers said during the release of the Half of Year Results at the Intercontinental Hotel in November 2015, change may delay but it will come and the Pride of Africa will soon reclaim its rightful place.
