NSE 20 and NASI index rose 21.62 points and 0.54 points respectively to close at 4,016.18 and 143.47. E.A Portland edged up by 9.64 percent to close at KES 45.50. Atlas Development declined by 9.47 percent to end today at KES .95, becoming today’s top loser.

The volume of shares traded today was 10.87mn, valued at KES 269.96mn down 44.82 percent from Friday’s turnover. E.A. Breweries was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 85.43mn representing 30.09 percent of the total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 72.07 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 90.39 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI declined 0.20 percent to close at 1,758.24 while USE LSI remained constant to halt at 370.85. A total of 213,800 shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 2.42mn.

Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI declined 4.66 percent and 0.68 percent respectively to close at 149.29 and 130.91. Total turnover came in at RWF 3.63mn with 15,900 shares traded.

Tanzania: The DSEI went up 0.21 percent to close the day at 2,374.39 while DSE TSI declined 0.03 percent to close at 4,596.88. Africa Barrick Gold leading, going up 1.96 percent to stand at TZS 420.00 emerging as today’s top gainer. African Barrick Gold declined 12.52 percent to end the day at TZS 5,590 to be the top loser. Total volumes were recorded at 64,782 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 43.38mn.
