Standard Group Emerges Top Loser of the Day

NSE 20 and NASI index declined 16.35 points and 0.11 points respectively to close at 3,986.28 and 144.28. Atlas Development gained 7.69 percent to close at KES 2.10. Standard Group lost 8.66 percent to stand at KES 29.00, becoming today’s top loser.

The volume of shares traded today was 13.68mn, valued at KES 432.66mn a 32.79 percent decline from yesterday’s turnover. Equity Group was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 141.84mn representing 32.78 percent of the total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 84.44 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 65.62 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI edged up 0.45 percent and 1.15 percent respectively to close at 1,736.26 and 389.87. A total of 9.33mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 824.11mn.

Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI remained constant to close at 146.99 and 130.62.Total number of shares traded today was 77,100 resulting to a total turnover of UGX 13.42mn

Tanzania: The DSEI gained 0.64 percent to close at 2,393.17 while DSE TSI lost 0.01 percent to close at 4,580.74. Africa Barrick Gold declined 3.26 percent to close at TZS 5,930.00, becoming today’s top loser. CRDB Bank become led the gainers, going up 1.25 percent to close at TZS 405.00 Tanzania Breweries declined 0.07 percent to end the day at TZS 15,030.00 to be the top loser. Total volumes were recorded at 1.31mn shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 1.23bn.
