KCB has today launched a long term, bank-wide Loyalty and Reward Solution dubbed Simba Loyalty Programme designed to create a full customer-friendly reward mechanism.

In a bid to retain its existing customers, the Bank aims to attract new customers and encourage the existing ones to transact more using preferred channels countrywide. The program will enable customers to earn points through e-payments, Agency, Mobile, and internet banking transactions, card transactions, insurance payments, deposits, and loans.

Speaking during the launch, KCB Retail Director Anastacia Kimtai said that the program will increase customer satisfaction while providing added value services through our partners. The program will be rolled out in two phases commencing within Kenya and followed by other regional markets.

“Our customers will earn points from their entire relationship with the Bank. KCB Simba Points Loyalty Program provides customers with multiple redemption options from local and international partners including flights, accommodation, and dining, official sports merchandise, online and retail shopping,” she added.

Other services will include the purchase of airtime, bill payments and payment of banking services.

Customers are ensured of an exciting journey both as they earn and redeem their points. Through http://simbapoints.kcbbankgroup.com the program’s online portal, customers can surf the site to learn how to earn and redeem points, the various merchandise on offer, and the hundreds of partner merchants.

Enrollment for customers is free and can be done through the KCB mobile platform on *522#, the KCB App or by visiting any KCB Bank branch.

The Bank has partnered with local merchants to ensure guaranteed value for customers including Naivas, Text Book Centre, Airtel, Shell Service Stations, PC World, Big Square, Tribe, Serena, and Sarova Hotels.

Research shows that recently Banks have stepped up to continuously add value to customers, moving from call centers to online platforms and now loyalty programs.

This will be the first loyalty program of its kind in Africa as banks either reward only one transaction type, for instance, card business or only give one option to redeem points – cash.
